Kobe Bryant has a new Nike shoe coming out next week, although the brand isn't making much noise about it. Releasing on April 3 is the Nike Kobe A.D. NXT, a model with a new lockdown system that integrates a shroud into its lacing and hangs the most visible piece of Nike branding on the midsole.
Note that this isn't a full-on signature entry for the Nike Kobe line, but rather an evolution of its latest, the Nike Kobe A.D. The Kobe A.D. is the de facto Kobe 12, Nike changing the naming system for the line in the wake of Bryant's retirement in 2016.
The shoe will make its debut in the wolf grey colorway seen here next week.
The Nike Kobe A.D. is appearing on websites of stores like Sneaker Politics that will stock the shoes, but there's not been much official communication on them from Nike.
UPDATE 3/29: Nike has a full release on the shoes now here. Despite what retailers have posted, Nike says the performance silhouette will have a limited release in North America first on April 1, followed by a global release on April 3. The grey pair seen here and a volt one will both be available on those days.
