Over 20,000 pairs of sneakers are being sent to kids in Africa thanks in part to the efforts of NBA superstar Steph Curry. The Warriors point guard collaborated with Liberty University, where his brother played ball for a year, and charity Kick'n It for a Cause.

According to Liberty's page dedicated to the charity drive, the shoes will be sent to children in the Republic of Congo to help prevent diseases contracted through bare feet.

Curry spoke at Liberty University on Wednesday, the above video capturing a pep talk he gave to the school's men's basketball team.

As seen in the video above, the sneakers in this charity drive go beyond Curry's own Under Armour models.
