This year, Nike passed on releasing All-Star basketball sneakers, instead lacing its athletes in pairs from the "Black History Month" Collection. While the brand didn't offer an official explanation for the change in strategy, most assumed it had something to do with the relocation of the game from North Carolina to New Orleans. Though the weekend came and went without the usual releases, Nike likely had several concepts in the works, and this could be one of them.
Foot Locker Europe has a Nike Kyrie 3 in White/Multicolor-Volt listed for a March 16 release. The shoe on the calendar is designated Kyrie 3 TS "ASG," a possible reference to the All-Star Game. An image of a shoe that matches the description has surfaced, indicating that a release is nearing. In addition to a clean, white upper, this Kyrie 3 features iridescent platinum Swoosh branding and multicolor detailing on an icy translucent sole.
The descriptions on Foot Locker Europe often miss the mark, so it's possible these have nothing to do with All-Star. Nevertheless, they do expect to release this pair in men's sizing sometime this month. Stay tuned for updates.
