Yes, Air Jordans are acceptable White House attire. Just ask Chicago Bulls star Jimmy Butler, who reveals that he's worn Jordans there a couple of times in the latest episode of Sneaker Shopping. On top of that, he also brought sneakers with him there to gift to President Obama.

"I actually gave Obama some of my logo gear and my [Air Jordan] 29s that had released at the time," Butler says.

The shoe likely being alluded to here is the Jimmy Butler Air Jordan 29 Low, which features his mark on the tongue.

In recounting his trips to the White House, Butler says that while others warned him not to wear sneakers there, his footwear got a stamp of approval from the POTUS himself. "He did notice, he said he liked the sneakers."
