Adidas' latest Boost sneaker comes from an unlikely place, with the brand's golf division using the tech for a Masters-themed design. The Adidas Crossknit Boost shown here will release on April 3 via Adidas Golf and select retailers for $180.

The sneaker's graphic insole is a reference to the pimento cheese sandwich. What does that snack have to do with the world of professional golf? It's a go-to menu item at the Augusta National Golf Club in George where the Masters Tournament is held.

Other details on the shoe referencing the sandwich include a white upper tied to its bread and an accompanying green bag mimicking the wrapper that it comes in.

The Crossknit Boost is built on the same last as Adidas' Ultra Boost, but has a different knit array tuned specifically to the needs of golfers.
