Continuing its push forward in the footwear market, Adidas has retained the services of arguably the world's greatest soccer player.
Yesterday, Barcelona's Leo Messi announced a contract extension with Adidas on Facebook. While terms of the deal haven't officially been announced, Cope reports Messi signed a lifetime contract, which would keep him with Adidas for the remainder of his career. In a caption on Facebook, Messi said he'll be working with the company for "many more years."
Messi, 29 years old and a 5-time Ballon d’Or winner, originally signed a 5-year deal with Adidas in February 2006. Most recently, the brand launched the Messi 16 Blue Blast cleat.
