Air technology has been apart of Nike's footwear for generations, but it was the Nike Air Max 1, a silhouette that allowed the technology to be seen in addition to being felt. It was that sneaker that was responsible for kick-starting the phenomenon of Air Max. Now, Nike recognizes 3/26, the original release date of the Air Max 1, as Air Max Day.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Air Max 1, so in celebration of 2017 Air Max Day, the Swoosh is releasing plenty of Air Max sneakers throughout the month of March.
In addition to the already previewed Nike Air Max 1 "Master," the collection includes the original Nike Air Max 1, the fan voted Atmos x Nike Air Max 1, Nike Air Max 90 Ultra Flyknit, Nike Air Max LD-Zero, Nike Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0 LE, Nike Air VaporMax and Nike Air Max Jewell.
