Nike continues to celebrate Serena Williams' 23rd Grand Slam victory.
Today, the brand officially unveils Williams' special make-up of her favorite sneaker, the Air Jordan 1. The shoe inherits "Banned" blocking, replacing red with her favorite color, pink. Her personal logo adorns the tongue and heel of the shoe.
Additionally, Nike put together a commemorative pack featuring Williams' NikeCourt Flare AJ1 in red and pink-based colorways. The box features both the iconic Jumpman and Williams' logo, along with graphics highlighting the number 23. Inspired by Jordan's championships, six words — creative, determined, innovative, classic, performance and stylish — appear along the left lining of the box. A flowing pattern on the opposite side was left unfinished to symbolize Williams' drive for continued success.
The Air Jordan 1 "Serena Williams" will release Monday, Jan. 30 at nike.com, with both colorways of the Flare AJ 1 dropping on SNKRS the same day. Today, the special Serena Williams x Air Jordan Footwear Collection is available exclusively at Nike SoHo.
