The "Space Jam" Air Jordan 11 madness has officially begun. Early Wednesday morning, thieves in Louisville, Kentucky, smashed into the back of a City Gear sneaker store to lift pairs ahead of their Saturday release.

In a story from WAVE 3 News, police said damage to the building appears to have been caused by a vehicle.

The store isn't saying how many pairs were stolen, but is still planning to go ahead with a raffle release for the Air Jordan 11.

TheĀ Louisville Metro Police Department has yet to make any arrests in connection to this sneaker crime. WAVE 3 reports that another store in the Louisville area was hit with the same type of smash-and-grab just last week.

The Air Jordan 11 "Space Jam" will release on Saturday, Dec. 10, for $220.
