When students at Texas' Somerset High School found out their classmate JR Gilbert had been wearing shoes a few sizes too small, they came together to make sure he had the right footwear for the holiday season.

In a video shared by the school on Facebook, the students are seen surprising JR with two gift wrapped boxes of Nike sneakers. Gilbert, a sophomore, wears size 10 1/2 boots daily, even though he fits a size 13. The kids collectively raised money to buy the sneakers for their friend, who couldn't have been any happier about the gesture.

According to Gilbert's family, he actually owns shoes that fit him, but refused to stop wearing the boots because they previously belonged to his grandfather.
