This week, Nike filled in the details on its latest collaboration sneaker created with Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy fame. The model, called the NikeLab Air Zoom Legend x RT, is also getting a wider release this week, with the two colorways pictured hitting NikeLab stores and NikeLab online on Dec. 8.
The shoe previously released as a New York City exclusive on Nov. 11.
The design combines disparate inspirations, borrowing the sole from the Nike Aqua boot and using that foundation to create something very Chelsea boot-esque.
"I wanted to combine Nike’s rich experimentation in boot silhouettes with my love of the Chelsea Boot, in particular," said Tisci. "Shoes like the Nike Aqua Boot or SFB Boot have been equally embraced by niche sport communities and adopted as style staples."
The shoes are also indebted to Brazil—the outsoles are inspired by the curvy sidewalks of Rio de Janeiro and the model in general is a representation of the "merging of ocean and land" in the city, according to Nike.
