It seems that rivalries are slowly being phased out of sports, but some fans aren't ready to let go of old grudges just yet.
Earlier today, Oklahoma Basketball shared a photo of its latest exclusive sneakers — a team-inspired colorway of the Nike KD 9. While Kevin Durant only spent one year at Texas, some of the Sooner faithful aren't too thrilled to see the team laced up in sneakers bearing the name of a rival school's alum. The Instagram post immediately filled up with negative comments aimed at the custom shoes.
Texas, Duke, Arizona and Oregon are among the other teams that have received exclusive KD 9s this season. The Sooners will take on Baylor tomorrow night on ESPN 2.
