Nike isn't limiting its latest retro of the silver Air Max 97 to Europe. The sneaker hit Italy first, a launch connected to the country's longtime love for the silhouette, and later rolled out in Western Europe on Dec. 14. On Monday, a surprise release hit a number of U.S. retailers.
Sneaker stores like Bodega, Kith, and Saint Alfred all had this Air Max retro available, with each selling through their stock fairly quick. It's a safe bet that more accounts will be posting the shoes throughout the day, so there's still hope for fans of this '90s silhouette.
One assumes that an even wider release of the silver Air Max 97 will come in 2017 as Nike celebrates the shoe's 20th anniversary, but there's not much info on that yet.
