With so much happening in NFL cleat news as of late, one big piece of news managed to fly under the radar.
According to the Washington Post, tight end Jordan Reed is the newest member of Jordan Brand's football roster. Despite starting the season in Nike cleats, Reed reportedly signed his Jordan deal in September and has only recently began wearing custom Air Jordan 9 Low cleats. “It means a lot, man,” Reed told the Post. “Growing up looking up to [Michael Jordan] and things like that, now I’m sponsored by his brand. That’s a big thing and a big deal to me, at least.”
Reed joins a group of endorsers that includes Dez Bryant, Joe Haden, Jalen Ramsey, Corey Coleman, Thomas Davis, Earl Thomas, Alshon Jeffery and Michael Crabtree. He currently ranks Top 5 in receptions, yards and touchdowns among NFL tight ends.
