Nike's latest regional sneaker tribute—a duo of Spiridons—shirks the easy "City Pack" style approach in favor of a deeper cultural connection, this one running underground. The project is the next collaboration from the sportswear brand and Roundel celebrating London's public transit system.
The Roundel x NikeLab Zoom Spiridons feature sublimated prints of the Johnston font, which has appeared on London Underground media for over a century. The sneakers also use iridescent Swooshes and reflective mudguards.
These Spiridon styles release first on Nov. 9 at a pop-up space at Charing Cross station in London. A Tokyo release will follow on Nov. 10, followed by a global release of the white pair on Nov. 17.
Nike first collaborated with Roundel in 2013 on the Air Max 90 and Air Max 1.
