The Nike LunarCharge is something old and new. The latest Nike Sportswear sneaker contains the DNA of four storied runners from the brand's archives. The overall shape of the shoe is inspired by 1990's Nike Air Current, while neoprene found throughout the upper is inspired by 1988's Air Flow. You might have also noticed that the eye stays are a subtle nod to the Nike Air Max 90. Unseen to the naked eye is the internal bootie system that was modeled off of the original Air Presto.
Nike's LunarCharge isn't just a monument to the past. The sneaker also features the the brand's latest laser-siped Lunar midsole technology, which first debuted in the Nike LunarEpic earlier this year.
Retailing for $120, could the LunarCharge be Nike's next unexpected hit like the Roshe Run in 2012? We'll see when the sneaker releases on Nov. 18 at select Nike boutiques. Get a closer look at the new silhouette below.
