What's next for Nike's Ken Griffey Jr. retro line? A tonal wheat take on his first signature shoe, the Nike Air Griffey Max 1, complete with a white midsole and gum bottoms.
The wheat look for retro styles is nothing new from Nike Sportswear, with the brand most famously applying it to various Air Force 1s. This Griffey differs from those in that its upper is suede rather than nubuck. Just like other "Wheat" styles, the color code official lists this model as "Flax."
While Nike hasn't released this Griffey online yet, Renarts in New York has pairs available now.
UPDATE 10/31: The official release date for the "Wheat" Nike Air Griffey Max 1 is Nov. 23.
