Nike Co-Founder Phil Knight Donates $330,000 to Republican Candidates

Knight with some big contributions to Oregon politicians.

Nike co-founder Phil Knight is in the giving mood this political season. According to a report from the Register Guard, Knight made at least $330,00 in campaign contributions to Oregon House Republican candidates in September.

Knight's biggest check went to incumbent Rep. Mark Johnson, who received $80,000 from the Swoosh co-founder. Ron Noble, Dan Mason, and Patti Milne, who are all vying for seats in the election, each got $50,000, while incumbent Rep. Julie Parrish and Rich Vial each got $25,000.

The Register Guard reports that Knight donated to campaigns back in the 2012 Oregon legislative race as well, contributing $55,000 to 10 Democrats and 12 Republicans.
