Nike announced the release of the 2016 Nike Mag on Tuesday, a shoe nearly 30 years in the making. The global sportswear power went all the way to the top with its rollout, tapping Mark Parker, chairman, president, and CEO of Nike, for the video above.
In the clip, Parker underlines the charity aspect of this high-profile shoe release while also tying it to the brand's Hyperadapt 1.0, its more modern self-lacing shoe that's set to launch in November.
The video not only has Parker narrating this powerful sneaker moment, but also gives viewers a glimpse of the shoes in action—something many won't ever get in real life given how incredibly limited the Nike Mags are.
100 percent of the proceeds from the Nike Mag 2016 release will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
