Kevin Durant wasn't a Texas Longhorn for very long, playing in Austin for just one season before taking his immense talents to the NBA, but that hasn't had any sort of negative impact on the flow of his shoes referencing the school. For years now, the Nike KD line has made time for Texas pairs of pretty much every silhouette.
Ahead of the NCAA basketball season, the Longhorns shared their latest. This time around the KD 9 wears the school's burnt orange color, combining it with a white base.
It's unclear if this sneaker is a full-on player exclusive or more a NIKEiD creation—the latter is the more likely case given collegiate sneaker seeding trends in the past couple years.
