In 1984, history was made in Los Angeles with the first women's marathon in the history of the Olympic Games. The race, which was won by Joan Benoit Samuelson, serves as the inspiration for a new women's collection from Nike Sportswear.

The Nike "Beautiful x Powerful" collection features the Air Presto, Air Huarache Run Ultra, Air Max Thea, and Cortez in both colorful jacquard and all black leather colorways.

Nike's "Beautiful x Power" collection will release in two waves beginning with the black leather styles on Thursday, October 6 from SNKRS and select Nike Sportswear retailers worldwide. Meanwhile, the jacquard colorways will be available on December 1.
