There's little doubt that Nike Basketball will be releasing a special sneaker in 2016 that commemorates Kyrie Irving's first-ever NBA Championship. When is that shoe showing up on retail shelves? According to this leak, which purports to be the "Champ" Kyrie 2, the model will be available on Oct. 29.

Nike already released a championship model for Irving's Cavs teammate LeBron James this year, quickly offering NIKEiD versions of James' Soldier 10 shoe in a colorway matching the one he wore during the Cavs' victory.

This Kyrie 2 features gold details, which may be a nod to Irving's new hardware, along with a suede strap and an icy sole. Standard Kyrie 2 boxes in the background offer no further confirmation of an official championship-themed release. Hit the follow button above and keep it locked for updates.

UPDATE 10/13: It appears that the Kyrie 2 photos here actually originate from toneboi76 on NikeTalk.
