Jordan Brand will revisit the "Shattered Backboard" theme this year on two pairs of sneakers referencing the time Michael Jordan broke the glass in an exhibition game in Italy. Releasing on Oct. 8 are the "Shattered Backboard Away" Jordan 1 and the "Shattered Backboard" Jordan 31.
Most of the Air Jordan 31s to release so far have referenced Jordan's past in some way, so it's not that surprising to see this pair connecting to a moment from the 1980s. That being said, the story telling aspect feels somewhat tired on this release given that Jordan Brand already milked this moment for a shoe in 2015.

Both of these Jordans will be available via Nike SNKRS on Oct. 8.
