Nike is getting behind Serena Williams' claim that she's more than just one of the best female athletes of all time. On a new billboard spotted by Jason Gay of the Wall Street Journal, Nike effectively does the same thing Williams did when asked about her greatness by erasing the "female" part.

Williams signed with Nike in 2003 at the conclusion of her endorsement deal with Puma.

The billboard in Brooklyn is timed to coincide with the 2016 US Open, where Williams will play her first match on Tuesday night at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
