At its core, skating is a street-based sport, with ties to the pavement tracing back to its beginnings. The idea of taking boards to the street was popularized in the 80s and 90s, when more ambitious riders ditched the confines of empty pools and pre-built parks for new challenges. As a nod to where it all started, Nike Skateboarding releases three silhouettes as part of the "Road Pack."
Made up of the Dunk Low, Stefan Janoski and P-Rod 9, the pack consists of simple black and white styles united by asphalt-inspired embossed suede. Each pair will release on the SNKRS app and at your local skate shop next Thursday, Aug. 11.
