Monday, Aug. 1, marks the beginning of a new era for the Michigan Wolverines football team, who are now sponsored by the likes of Jordan Brand. Players on the team are already showing off the spoils of the new deal, including the cleats shown in the video below from wide receiver Maurice Ways.

The cleat doesn't appear to be a brand new design, but rather a Jordan/Michigan update on Nike's Vapor Untouchable 2.

At the top of August, Michigan began a new deal with Nike following at the expiration of its eight-year deal with adidas.

As part of Jordan Brand's sponsorship of the football team, Michael Jordan himself will serve as the program's honorary captain in their 2016 season-opener.
