Because of the Olympics, gold has been part of Jordan Brand's footwear story this summer. The metallic hue was recently featured on the Swoosh of the Air Jordan 1, and in the coming weeks, will land on the Air Jordan 5. However, the most eye-catching golden Jordan moment comes from San Antonio Spurs swingman Kawhi Leonard.
While meeting with young fans at a community event yesterday, Leonard was spotted in an unreleased gold-based Air Jordan 12 PE. In addition to the glossy gold leather, the shoe sports blue accents and a contrasting outsole.
At the moment, it's unknown whether these will stay exclusive to Leonard or eventually hit the Jordan release calendar. It's likely the former, but we'll keep you posted with any updates moving forward.
