An unfortunate case of sneaker violence has emerged from Harlem, NY, over the weekend.
According to the Daily News, an 18-year-old man was slashed in the face and robbed at a Harlem park during a sneaker deal gone wrong.
It took place at Central Park North on Sunday evening, where the teen had agreed to meet a man to buy sneakers. However, the situation took a violent turn after the two men disagreed over the price.
That's when police say the suspect slashed the 18-year-old across his cheek and forehead, absconding with the victim's Ferragamo belt and $50 in cash.
The victim was treated for serious injuries, while police are still on the hunt for the suspect.
