If there's one non-athlete who embodies the Jordan Brand message of excellence, it's legendary sideline reporter Craig Sager. Not only is Sager the best at getting the most out of the world's best athletes and coaches, but he's showing the world how to confront cancer with strength, courage and grace. Now, his story and unique sense of style are being commemorated with a special pair of Air Jordans.
Earlier tonight, DJ Khaled treated fans to a look at the "Sager Vision" Air Jordan 1, a multicolor and multi-pattern design inspired by Sager's famous "ugly" suits. Plaid, stripes, houndstooth and more grace the iconic sneaker's panels, while translucent outsoles reveal the words "Sager Vision." What you have is a "What The" design that shows actual creativity and has a legit purpose for existing — something missing from that series for a long time.
As for a release date, don't expect that to happen anytime soon. According to Khaled, his pair is one of only two in the world. However, he did add "for now" in his caption, leaving the door open for an eventual drop.
