Over the next week, you'll have plenty of opportunities to secure a pair of the highly anticipated "Banned" Air Jordan 1 Retro, but here's a way to earn a chance and help a member of our community in need.
Nick Engvall, a name you probably recognize from Sole Collector, Complex Sneakers and StockX to name a few, recently received the news that his mother has been diagnosed with cancer. With no medical insurance due to a pre-existing condition rejection, covering up to $120,000 in treatment bills has proven to be a tough hurdle for her and her family. In need of assistance and out of answers, Engvall humbly turned to GoFundMe to help his beloved mother.
Thus far, the fundraiser has been a success — Nick's mom was able to undergo her first procedure with help from friends, family and generous supporters. However, there's still mountains to climb, and Philly-based retailer Lapstone & Hammer is doing its part to help.
With a donation of any amount to Engvall's GoFundMe, you will be entered in a giveaway to win the "Banned" Air Jordan 1. To complete the entry, add the message "Much Love" in the comments. Each donation will count as a unique entry leading up to the Sep. 3 deadline.
If these kicks were on your radar, and even if they weren't, take a shot and help one of the genuinely good guys in sneakers!
