Did you know that bees are dying at an alarming rate? Asics is trying to help the situation by populating the world with a few more of them in collaboration with German retailer Solebox. The two will team up again for a second shoe in their "Blue Carpenter Bee" collection.
This time around the sneaker of choice is the Asics Gel-Lyte Runner, a model not nearly as celebrated as the Gel Lyte 3 that kicked things off. Will the shoe's lesser status cause this one to sit on shelves? We'll have to wait until their release to find out.
The Solebox x Asics Gel-Lyte Runner releases in-store and online via Solebox on July 16 (more info on that here). There is no info yet about a possible global release to follow.
