Dr. J in 1971. Kobe in 2002. Durant's 66 in 2011. Many of the game's greats have a story tied to Harlem's iconic outdoor basketball court, Rucker Park. The same can be said about soon-to-be Hall of Famer Allen Iverson, who suited up for Puff Daddy's team on June 18, 1996 in the Entertainer’s Basketball Classic — or EBC.
Continuing to tell Iverson's story through Question colorways for the model's 20th Anniversary, Reebok will soon release a special "Rucker Park" colorway to commemorate the moment. Along with EBC founder Greg Marius, the brand is rolling out a unique jersey mesh and hairy suede make-up in gold and navy, the colors worn by Iverson's team on that night. The heels read "Standing Room Only" in reference to the hordes of hoop fans who had to watch on-foot once the bleachers were filled.
Look for the EBC x Reebok Question "Rucker Park" to release on Aug. 5 at reebok.com and Reebok retailers.
