Wearing a pair of Yeezys Boosts is definitely one way to signal to prospective recruits the potential upsides of signing with an adidas school. That's what longtime Louisville coach Rick Pitino did this week, showing up to the Elevate Hoops Icebreaker event with the "Pirate Black" 350s on.
It's an entertaining moment to see Pitino in the sneaker, complete with the socks to match, but the choice feels a bit like a "How do you do, fellow kids?" move from the NCAA legend.
We won't believe Pitino's Yeezy pedigree until he starts showing up to regular season games in 750s on a weekly basis.
