No Nike Metcon release has caused as much buzz as the "Banned" colorway, a challenge to Reebok's CrossFit footwear in the form of a Michael Jordan reference. It looks like Nike is reviving the approach of borrowing from Jordan's footwear line with the Metcon on this, a new Metcon 2.

The sneaker uses a black and royal colorway, along with a colorblocking approach that has it looking like the original "Royal" Jordan 1.

Rumor has it the "Royal" Metcon 2 will release on July 18.

Also on the way is the below sneaker, a women's Metcon 2 that has a similar palette that doesn't quite adhere to the same colorblocking.
