Today, Ken Griffey Jr. took his rightful place among baseball's all-time greats. The Baseball Hall of Fame Induction ceremony welcomed an estimated 50,000 fans to watch Griffey and catcher Mike Piazza honored in Cooperstown. For Griffey, the salutes didn't end there — his friends at Nike and players around the league acknowledged his contributions with special footwear on the diamond.

Star players like Mike Trout, Albert Pujols, Adam Jones, Andrew McCutchen, Carlos Gonzalez, Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story were among Nike-endorsed players to hit the field in celebratory white and gold Air Swingman Legend cleats.

"I'm looking forward to it," Trout told MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez when asked about wearing the Griffey cleats. "I knew they were going to give us a shoe, but when they came out looking like that, it looks good."
