Yes, Shrek sneakers are now a real thing thanks to West Coast sneaker chain Bait. For its latest collaborative project with Dreamworks and Diadora, the store has whipped up this N.9000 pair referencing that silver screen ogre.
The shoes don't mimic the bright green of Shrek's skin, but instead aim at his outfit and are hence tamer than what one might expect.
The sneakers come in a Shrek-branded box and feature the character's likeness on the insoles.
The Bait x Dreamworks x Diadora N.9000 "Shrek" ($220) will release on Saturday, June 18, via all Bait stores and via online raffle here. Bait's issuing this one in infant sizes as well for $80 here now, with an in-store release to come on June 18.
