Following his MVP season, Under Armour has locked up Washington Nationals slugger Bryce Harper with a multi-year extension. The new deal is reportedly a massive one—ESPN is calling it the biggest endorsement deal for an MLB player ever.

Peter Murray, VP of Global Sports Marketing at Under Armour, admires Harper’s passion and love for the game and is excited to continue working with him for the years ahead.

"Bryce embodies our brand’s founding philosophy of ‘Aggressive, Young and Fearless,’ and we look forward to continuing to aid in his upward progression in the sport of baseball,” Murray said in a press release.

The former number one pick has found much success at such a young age. He won the Golden Spikes Award for the best amateur player in 2010, the National League Rookie of the Year award in 2012, and made the All-Star Team in 2012—the youngest position player to do so.

"I’m proud to call Under Armour my family, and I know that together, we will achieve great things,” Harper said of his new deal. “Under Armour has been one of my biggest advocates since I began my professional journey, and I can’t wait to share what’s next with the fans.”

Harper recently posted a preview of his first signature cleat, the Harper One, on Instagram. The black and gold cleat is set to hit stores July 15.

While Under Armour isn't disclosing the terms of the deal, ESPN says Harper's signed on for 10 more years with the brand.
