Before he became a shop owner, Marcus Jordan followed in his famous father's footsteps as a basketball player. He first played high school ball at Illinois' Loyola Academy, before transferring to Whitney Young for his junior and senior seasons. There, he led the Dolphins to the 2009 Illinois State 4A Championship title and was named MVP of the state tournament.
Jordan then competed in college at the University of Central Florida, where he famously bucked the school's adidas deal to wear Air Jordans on the court. The move ended up costing UCF its sponsorship, but Nike took over the reins shortly after.
Now, Marcus is set to embark on the next phase of his journey — the Trophy Room, a Jordan-centric sneaker shop near Disney in Orlando. Before the store officially opens its doors tomorrow, here's a rundown of some of Marcus' exclusive Air Jordans from his playing days.
