A man in Buffalo, N.Y., managed to get his stolen sneakers back by setting up the thieves who took them on Facebook, the Buffalo News reports.
After having at least $1,500 worth of sneakers taken from his home in a break-in on Saturday, the victim found some of the shoes for sale on Facebook. He took action, arranging to meet the sellers and alerting the police.
On Sunday, he met with three people for the sale. According to police, the sellers were carrying and even wearing sneakers stolen during the break-in. Police recovered the shoes and a phone used to setup the sale.
Markel Page, 20, and two teens were arrested during the meetup.
