It looks like adidas is toying with a functional upgrade to the NMD, as evidenced by this sample of the shoe.
The sneaker wears a rippled outsole that gives it a trail feel. Adidas has slapped these sort of soles on plenty of retro models, but this is the first time a platform like this is appearing on the NMD. Aside from the outsole this is a pretty standard NMD, coming with the usual mesh build.
There is no sneaker release date available yet for this shoe, and not even a confirmation that it will be making it to retail.
