Facebook is putting a huge emphasis on its Messenger app going forward, and it wants users to be able to purchase sneakers with the program.

Digital marketing expert Danny Sullivan, who was present at Facebook's F8 developers conference yesterday, posted the above image on Twitter showing off how this could work. Basically users would communicate with sneaker brands or stores via bots, which can give them options on shoes and respond to text commands.

According to Marketing Land, all businesses will eventually have access to this sort of in-Messenger buying.

How exactly this makes things easier for consumers remains to be seen, especially in an age where sneaker companies are increasingly focused on building their own apps to handle high-profile releases.
