Nike co-founder Phil Knight's press tour for his newly published book Shoe Dog continued last night with a stop by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Laced up in his go-to Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 31 sneakers, Knight took the stage to share a few of the stories from his memoir, briefly touching on the origins of the waffle sole and the "Banned" Air Jordan 1 campaign.

The interview concluded with Knight presenting Colbert with a gift — a custom pair of Nike Air Prestos, which he described as the life of Stephen Colbert on a pair of shoes. The runners are adorned by an all-over print inspired by Colbert's path to the Late Show, with symbols tying back to his mother, siblings and political interests

"Will this make me want to exercise?" Colbert asked Knight after receiving his gifted kicks. "I don't know if it'll make you want to exercise, but you'll certainly exercise better," replied Knight.
