This year keeps getting better for fans of the Nike Air More Uptempo. The latest on the bulky basketball sneaker from 1996 is that Nike will be bringing back the "Olympic" colorway.

The sneaker was famously worn by Scottie Pippen during his performance with the USAB team at the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. The colorway has been around in retro form a couple of times since its debut, most recently releasing in 2012.

Nike's decision to bring the shoe back this year comes as no great surprise given all the other Olympic-themed shoes arriving in the months leading up to Rio.

There is no sneaker release date locked in yet for the 2016 "Olympic" Uptempo, but rumors have it releasing around August.

No photos are out yet of the 2016 pair, so these photos of the '96 original will have to suffice for now.
