LeBron James took a rare break from his Nike LeBron line last night, deciding instead to wear the Nike Kobe 11 "Fade to Black" while he sat on the bench for the Cavs' last game of the regular season.
The reason for his switch (in case you've been living under a rock) was to pay tribute to Kobe Bryant, who played his last NBA game on Wednesday. Bryant wore the same shoe for the Lakers' closer against the Jazz.
James was joined by players around the league wearing Kobes to honor the Black Mamba. His Cavs teammates Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson also wore the sneakers.
Nike athletes beyond the NBA wore black/gold sneakers too in support of Kobe in the days leading up to April 13.
