Nike is pulling out all the stops for Mamba Day today, making sure that Kobe Bryant's goodbye is a grand one with overlapping campaigns and special sneaker releases.
Maybe the most exciting one for diehard Bryant fans is the just-announced charity auction of the "Fade to Black" collection of Nike Kobe sneakers. All ten shoes in the pack will be included and the pairs are personally autographed by Bryant.
Proceeds from this auction will go to the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation.
Nike's requiring prospective bidders to pre-qualify before taking part in the auction, which should eliminate shill bidding.
The Nike "Black Mamba" pack auction goes live here today at noon eastern and will last for three days.
