Quietly, the Charlotte Hornets are putting together their best season of the Michael Jordan regime. The team is currently seeded 4th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 44-31, already matching the total of wins they posted in 2009-10. The leader of the resurgent Hornets is point guard Kemba Walker, who had another big outing in last night's game against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Walker had 27 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists to help the Warriors ease past the Sixers 100-91. They're now just a win or a Chicago Bulls loss away from clinching a postseason berth.
Perhaps rewarding his guys for a season well-played, MJ hooked his brand-endorsing Hornets up with the limited edition "Wings" Air Jordan 12. Walker, who played with the rub-off graphic revealed, was joined by teammate Frank Kaminsky.
