The Boston Police Department and sneaker boutique Concepts teamed up to right one teen's birthday after he was robbed of $100.

Boston.com reports that 13-year-old Amir Taste had his money stolen on the way to school in March. When local police learned that that he'd planned to buy sneakers with the money, they reached out to Concepts in Cambridge to get him a replacement pair. When the team at Concepts heard Amir's story, they were happy to help.

“Once the officers told us why they were buying the sneakers, there was no way we were gonna take their money,” employee Kirkland-Smith said.

Concepts gave Amir a new pair of sneakers and a shirt, which Police delivered to him for his birthday. Amir wrote the above letter as an expression of his gratitude for this awesome sneaker good deed.
