Detroit sneaker shop Burn Rubber is used to keeping things close to home with its sneaker collaborations, and this time spins a story to Brooklyn and back to the Motor City via the Reebok Phase 1.
The bright shoe's reptilian aesthetic is a reference to the late Notorious B.I.G.'s line about "pink gators, my Detroit players" in the 1997 smash "Hypnotize." The pink gator sections are mixed with matching suede and reflective accents.
The sneaker is meant as an early celebration of the late rapper's birthday, which lands on May 21. Watch for this collab to release first on Saturday, April 30, at 12 a.m. EST via Burn Rubber.
