New York sneaker shop Extra Butter follows up last year's Reebok Ventilator project with a Ventilator Supreme for 2016, this one bringing in the NHL and the New York Islanders as collaborators.

Rather than settle for a sneaker "inspired by" the team, which the Extra Butter squad are huge fans of, the shop went and partnered up with them. This means that logos from the team and the league adorn the shoe along with a colorway borrowed from its uniform.

This design is a reference specifically to the Islanders' most dominant years, the stretch from 1980-1983 where they won four championships in a row. Those Stanley Cup years are embroidered on the back while the "740" label on the inside of the tongue references the win total of Hall of Fame Islanders coach Al Arbour, who led the the team in that era.

Watch for the Extra Butter x NY Islanders x Reebok Ventilator Supreme to release on March 19 both in-store and online via Extra Butter for $135. The sneakers will be available in US men's sizes from 4.5 to 13.
