As announced last month, Sole Collector has partnered with Foot Locker and PENSOLE to present the 2016 World Sneaker Championship, a global sneaker design competition that will culminate in a week-long live exhibition in New York City and a winning design sold at Foot Locker stores.

The multi-round voting process for the World Sneaker Championship begins tonight, when the field of designers is narrowed down to 64 by an expert panel — consider it the March Madness of sneaker design. From there, you'll be able to vote for the best designs through 11:59 p.m. on March 17, trimming down the group to 32. Each week, the advancing designs will be announced on live webcast hosted by PENSOLE. This part of the process will run through late-April, when voters will choose between the Top 2 designs to crown a winner to be announced at an event later this year. See the full schedule below.

To tune into the Top 64 webcast at worldsneakerchampionship.com or youtube.com/pensoledesignacademy tonight at 9:00 p.m. EST to see the first group of designs that could potentially land on Foot Locker shelves in the near future.
